Notes: The Chácara do Céu Museum is an art museum located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Along with Museu do Açude, it forms part of the Castro Maya Museums; originating from the private collection of businessman and patron Raymundo Ottoni de Castro Maya (1894 – 1968). Castro Maya created a foundation in 1963. The Chácara do Céu museum was created in 1972. In 1983, the foundation was dissolved and the estate was reorganized under the name of Museus Castro Maya: subordinate to the Brazilian Institute of Museums, with the aim of preserving, researching and disseminating the art collection of Castro Maya.
