Notes: The envelope depicted on the table bears a fragment of Metzinger’s address; 121 Av. Felix Faure. Also written appear to be the beginning of ‘Monsieur M’ or ‘Maurice M’. Maurice was the name of the artist’s brother, and accomplished cellist. Metzinger maintained this address from 1912 to 1929.
