Notes: The Christie’s 24 March 2015 catalogue states this painting was exhibited at the Jean Metzinger in Retrospect 1985-86 exhibitions. Though it was reproduced in the catalogue, it did not form part of the exhibitions. This is a common mistake. Only works with titles shown in bold type in the catalogue were exhibited. The others were simply reproduced in the catalogue, and should be catalogued under Literature, not Exhibitions.
