From his earliest portrayals, circa 1905, the human body had been one of the principal subjects for Metzinger; an abyss of inspiration (particularly female figures). The stylistic treatment and staging conventions employed by Metzinger distinguishes his nudes from all others. The nude women Metzinger represented were not only revealed as objects (e.g., still life, landscape) but persons with reference to his intimate social relationships.

Dimensions and whereabouts unknown.
